In spring of this year, Luka Modric worked hard to come back from injury. Luka had a partial m. Rectus Femoris rupture (Quadriceps Femoris). Shortly after his come back, he suffered from a partial MCL rupture (Medial Collateral Ligament) after an external contact. Luka missed the semi-finals of the Champions League and the end of the season. That’s the moment he contacted us again. In concert with Luka our colleague Bert Driesen went to Zadar, Luka’s place of birth. Bert stayed there between 3th and 8th of July.
A first screening showed an important quadriceps atrophy, limited hip internal rotation, limited hip extension (L) and a decreased hip stability on the right. These were important starting points. Each day we had two 2 hours sessions, including one at the beach.
Luka got 15 different exercises per session. He had 1 manual treatment. Every day Bert was in touch with Lieven. We found a few weaknesses upon which we worked hard. Some of them were solved. For the others we will stay in close contact with Luka. Might be we can help him from Belgium and when necessary we’ll fly to Madrid, Zadar or wherever the hell he might be in the World.
As regards to Luka: he’s a friendly and modest person that loves to be surrounded by his family.
